Vermont’s efforts to nurture startups is once again being recognized on the national stage. Tech trade publication Machine Design features the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) and its work to encourage growth among early-stage, high-opportunity companies in Vermont. These technology-based startups run the gamut of industries and applications.
“VCET diversity is evident, from helping blind visual learners to advancing CubeSats in low orbit space,” writes author Jeff Kerns.
Much more than a co-working space, VCET doesn’t just provide a physical office for companies to grow in the Green Mountain State. The center takes an active role in their success through coaching and access to resources like the Vermont Seed Capital, an equity fund formed as a partnership between the state, U.S. Senator Patrick J. Leahy, and the Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA).
