Vermont leaders were featured today on Cheddar, a tech and business news network broadcast live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
Joan Goldstein, Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Economic Development, discussed the impact that new legislation could have on Vermont’s tech scene—particularly with respect to bridging the gender gap. Vermont Governor Phil Scott has asked the Legislature to expedite delivery of equal pay legislation that aims to close the gap between what women and men are paid.
Lisa Groeneveld, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Vermont-based Logic Supply, joined Goldstein on the broadcast segment to speak to the impact that relocating to Vermont has had on her business. “We knew Vermont was ready for our business,” she said. About 30 percent of Logic Supply’s employee base are women.
