With the purchase of a former warehouse located in downtown Brattleboro, coffee company Mocha Joe’s will soon open a new roastery. The new warehouse will also allow the company to store locally the beans they import from the Cameroonian coffee farmers they’ve been working with since 2009. What’s more, the space will house two additional local businesses and will revitalize a dormant building, in addition to adding several new jobs.
Mocha Joe’s worked closely with the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development to complete the purchase. They obtained partial funding through the Windham County Economic Development Program (WCEDP), which is administered by the Agency’s Department of Economic Development.
